About Backroads Smokehouse BBQ

Backroads Smokehouse BBQ is the real deal — slow-smoked meats, scratch-made sides, and a pitmaster named Jeffrey who actually comes out to make sure you're happy. Reviewers rave about the brisket, pulled pork, and pork tenderloin, and the portions are big enough that nobody leaves hungry. The breakfast buffet draws a crowd too — biscuits and gravy, grits, eggs, pancakes, and more, all for an honest price. Whether you're making a day trip from Jacksonville or just down the road, this is the kind of place you'll be talking about on the drive home. Come hungry and find us on Pleasant Hill Road.

Down home great bbq and sides. Variety of sauces but none are needed. Good flavor and smoke. Breakfast buffet is a 10!

Took a country drive to try and was not disappointed. Such a cute place. The food was delicious with huge portions. We had the brisket sandwich and the cowboy blt with loaded beans, onion rings and potato salad. Definitely recommend if your out their way.

The beef rib was good but the burnt ends appetizer was just ok also. Maybe just didn't get the best day and will try again but I'm not sure my wife would go back. Service was friendly and attentive. Parkin…
